Oh, this is awesome! \o/

So, as some of you are probably aware - at the moment there is so much negativity going on in Fandom. And no, not just in a particular fandom but in almost all Fandoms *I* am part of/know of and who knows in how many more. Which is so very sad and to be honest - it pulled me down. Fandom was, is and should be my happy place that lets me forget the negativity that goes on in RL but lately it hadn't been. :(

So, today, while reading another post about all the negativity/squee harshing/character bashing/and so on going on in Fandom at the moment, I thought: Why not do something against that instead of making another post about the negativity in Fandom (and yes, I am aware that I did a quarter post about exactly that above) and show all the haters and "negative" people that there are so many *squee*-worthy and wonderful and great things in Fandom?

So, here is my idea: Squee Week

One week/Seven posts with/about things you like, love and make you go *squeee*. Be it a rec (for a fic/vid/art/podfic/meta/whatever), a pic you just have to smile/drool/go *squee* whenever you see it, a picspam, a fic, a vid, a meta post, a review of a TV-show/movie/book/whatever - everything that's positive, squee-y and Fandom related goes. Post it. Squee with your f-list. Let's bring back some positivity back into Fandom!

Start: Thursday, May 24th

Dear f-list, who's with me?

I couldn't wait anymore and watched the Gagreel after 1x23 and OMG! I laughed tears! :D

What made me crack up the most was when Alex cracked up because, boy, he has a gorgeous and contagius smile and it's even more contagius when he cracks up and laughs. ♥ Also, Alex broke the car, Scott is talking about Martians and catch fights, Daniel almost broke the bike and Grace, well, aparently gets all her lines right. ;) :P

Watching Alex trying to bite back a laugh while Scott is scrambling his lines? *bawhahahahaha*


(I'd love to show you pictures of all I mentioned above but somehow the quality of the caps isn't very good. :( *sighs*)

I have only four episodes and the Special Features (Gagreel! \o/) of the last DVD left and then I'm finished with rewatching Season 1 of H50. :( + :)

It's been great to revisit Season 1 and to hear all of them in english and remember things that I've had forgotten. I have all the feelings about some things of Season 1 and watching again some things with the knowledge (Jenna, Jameson, Wo Fat, Chin, Matty, Kono and the old lady, Victor and so many things more) of all of Season 1 and half of Season 2? Wow! What a ride!

I'm really enjoying the deleted scenes too and there are some from which I really, really, really wish that they would have kept them. Some because they add so much on backstory (Mary and Steve) and character development (Mary and Steve), some because they are funny (*bawahahaha* Danny fighting with the computer tabel; I still want an epic Danny vs. the copy machine fic) and some just let us know that things aren't forgotten just because they were in a past episode (Matty). But, that's how the show is now and I'm happy with it. :)

And, I made a lot of screencaps. And, I want to do picspams. I don't know how much interest there is for Season 1 picspams so I'm not sure if I'm going to advertise them in the comms but I want to try my hand on themed picspams. I already have a few ideas what I want to do but since I'm annoying you with them inflicting them on you, dear f-list, any suggestions what you want to see? :) I can't promise to do them all (have to have an eye on my bandwidth/up-/download volume) and I reserve the right to take my own interpretation on the prompt/theme you give me but if you want to see a picspam for a particular prompt/theme - just let me know and I'll see if I manage to do it. :)

Now, back to watching! :)

I'm watching Grace Park's tour of Hawaii at the moment and she's learning the Hula and after a few dance steps she makes the Time Out sign and asks: "Can we make Alex and Scott and Daniel do this instead?" *bawhahaha* I'm sure I'm not the only fangirl that started to nod and shouted: "Yes, please!" at the screen, am I? *grins*

Also, Grace is so very beautiful and has a gorgeous smile and hair!

I hate it when deleted scenes and canon contradict themselves. *pouts* I want Mary's and Steve's backstory from the deleted Pilot scenes to be canon. *pouts some more*

Also? Catharine/Michelle Borth? You have a very, very beautiful voice!

Today was the DVD release of Season 1 of Hawaii 5-0. I had a lot of work today and planned to leave work at 6 in the evening at latest so that I'd have enough time to get to the shop to get the DVDs. I managed to finish my work at roughly 6 but was then delayed by a co-worker first for something work related and then because we chatted about "The Avengers" (she hasn't seen it yet and wanted to know if I liked it and maybe (and that's a big maybe) we'll go and see it together sometime in the week after the next week). When I took a look at the time it was almost half past 6 -> the shops close at 7. *wah*

I quickly said goodbye, took my stuff, walked fast to the underground and luckly there was one arriving the second I was there. *phew* Two stations later I hurried up to the 4th floor of the shop, walked up to the DVD aisles and had my first little moment of "shock" - "in front" of the aisles they normally display the new releases. Not today!

I then walked down the TV-show aisle, starting from A, and when I came to "House" I had my second moment of "shock" - no H50 DVDs! :( I took a close look because you never know, maybe someone just put a House DVD back to the wrong place, but no. No DVDs. :( I started to be disapointed and sad and thought that probably a delivery truck didn't make it or something while walking the aisle even further down. And suddenly! The H50 DVDs! \o/ Apparently "House" is filed under "D" like "Dr. House" and in my exitement I didn't realise that. *headdesk* But, I got them, I got them! :) Look:



And when I turned around they were on the other aisle too (there are two DVD aisles for TV-shows and for whatever reason both go from A to Z and some shows are on both aisles and some only on one and you have to look through both in order to (not) find the show you want.).

I won't start watching tonight as it is already past 10 and I'm on Newsletter duty today (and yesterdays Newsletter wasn't posted and Monday was the finale which means a lot of posts) but tomorrow! \o/ Or, well, I could maybe watch the Pilot? *ponders since tomorrow is a public holiday*

Also, a question: When you read somewhere that someone made a picspam - what do you expect? "Just" a post with lot of pics? Commentary to the pics you see? Coloured pics? Something else?
